Our story
WanderLust Blog was born from a one-way ticket and an insatiable need to see what lies beyond the horizon. Three years, six continents, and 120 countries later — we're still going. And we still feel wonder.
How it began
In 2021, Maya and Luca quit their London office jobs, bought two backpacks, and booked a one-way flight to Lisbon. The plan: travel until the money ran out.
The money never quite ran out. Instead, they found a global community hungry for honest travel stories — not filtered, picture-perfect content, but the real ones. The missed buses. The unexpected kindnesses. The meals that changed everything.
WanderLust Blog became their way of sharing those stories — and inviting others to write their own chapters.

What we believe
We believe in staying longer, spending locally, and leaving places better than we found them. No checkbox tourism. No bucket lists. Just presence.
The best travel moments happen at kitchen tables, on night trains, and in doorways — not at tourist attractions. We chase the human moments.
We don't do sponsored fluff. We tell you when a place disappointed us, when we got scammed, and when we cried in an airport bathroom.
Our favourite places are the ones without Google reviews. We will always push you toward the road less taken — and tell you exactly how to find it.
Every place we visit has a community, an ecosystem, and a culture. We travel with humility and deep respect for the people whose home we're visiting.
No matter how many countries we visit, we try to see every new place with open eyes and open hearts — the way a child sees the sea for the first time.
